Inside Aidan Gillen and Camille O'Sullivan's Georgian home with secret features

Actor Aidan Gillen and musician and architect Camille O'Sullivan have offered a peek inside their stunning home. The couple reside in a Georgian property in Dublin that has been painstakingly restored and renovated with great care. The couple purchased the property, which overlooks the Grand Canal, in 2022 and the enforced Covid break gave them the time to really work on the vision for their home. The house need a huge amount of work done to it after they took it off the market as there was no hot water and it lacked other facilities. After months of hard work, the couple transformed the old Georgian house into their dream home, including creating an open house for fellow creatives to watch films, record music, paint or do yoga. The interior is eclectic and distinctive, with certain rooms bursting with colour, others considerably darker, and some even hiding a few secret surprises. In the kitchen, the appliances can be concealed to transform the space into a separate dining room, while in one of the bedrooms, there is a hidden room exclusively for the family's pet cat. Speaking to Dermot Bannon on Celebrity Super Spaces, Camille revealed that preserving the character of the property was of the utmost importance to her, reports RSVP Live. "The idea was, choose what you want to reveal of the past," she explained. The property features a basement living area complete with granite stairs that were uncovered during the course of the renovation. "We didn't even know they were there," said Aidan. "They were bricked in and someone put a hammer through the wall on purpose to see what was there. We looked through and it was a granite staircase with a rat skeleton in it."
