Cannabis worth €1.25 million found in Dublin and Limerick searches
Cannabis worth around €1.25 million was seized in joint operations between Gardai and Revenue on Friday.The drugs were found in three searches in Dublin and Limerick and two men have been arrested in connection with the hauls. Gardai say 20kg of suspected herbal cannabis, worth approximately €400,000, was found in West Dublin during an “intelligence-led operation” involving members from drugs and organised crime squads.The Revenue Customs Service also took part. In a follow-up search in the same part of Dublin, another 20kg of the drug, also worth around €400,000, was seized.A man, in his 30s, was arrested and is detained at a Garda Station in Dublin. In a separate operation on Friday, approximately 22.5 kgs of suspected herbal cannabis, worth around €450,000, was uncovered in Co Limerick.Another man in his 30s was arrested and is being held in a Garda station in the county.
