Police cordon in place after woman found dead
Dorset Police received a report at 4.52 pm on Monday, December 1, 2025, by the ambulance service.
The report was about a sudden death of a woman aged in her 80s at an address in Higher Blandford Road in Poole.
Dorset Police have confirmed that a cordon is in place at the scene while enquiries are carried out to establish the full circumstances of the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.
The woman’s next of kin has been made aware.
Officers said there will be an increased police presence in the area.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Our thoughts are with them at this time.
“There will be an increased police presence in the area while officers carry out further house-to-house and CCTV enquiries to establish the woman’s last movements.
“We would encourage anyone with information or concerns to please speak with an officer.”
