‘Chancellor did not mislead public’, senior OBR member tells MPs
The Chancellor did not mislead people in how she described the country’s financial position ahead of the Budget.
That was the judgement today of one of the senior members of the OBR, giving evidence to MPs.
But the former head of that body, Richard Hughes, wasn’t there – he resigned after the OBR leaked the budget early on its website.
